3M Scotchlite Reflective Film 680CR
This durable, flexible, enclosed-lens film retains 90 percent of its retroreflectivity when totally wet. The film is intended for making durable commercial vehicle graphics, railroad graphics, commercial signs, and striping. Graphics made with this film have a similar daytime and nighttime appearance. The film is suitable for large graphics and graphics applied to corrugated surfaces. It is compatible for screen printing or electrostatic imaging applications, offers excellent angularity and positionability, and comes in a variety of colors. The combined thickness of the film and its clear adhesive is .007 to .008 inch.
Installation of graphics is easy with the Comply performance feature of this film. This is a mechanical feature that allows air to travel through the adhesive, so there are usually fewer air bubbles and the film can be applied with time-saving techniques such as large squeeges. The pressure-activated adhesive allows the graphic to be temporarily repositioned during installation until pressure is applied to the film surface. The film applies well to flat surfaces either with or without rivets, as well as moderately curved or corrugated surfaces. Appropriate substrates include aluminum, FRP, and paint. Using heat, this film can be removed for up to seven years from most substrates
