An Explanation of Avery's New Naming System For Digital Media

Avery's new naming system is meant to make it easier to refer to their products, and to better understand their construction. The following chart is a breakdown of the general numbering system:

MPI/ IPM Digital Media

As an example, Avery MPI 1020 is becoming Avery MPI 1060. Let's break it down.
The first digit is the material, in this case, a 1, meaning that this is a cast material.
The second digit is the function, in this case, a 0, meaning that this is a general purpose media.
The third digit, a 6 in this case, is the face type, which is a gloss transparent.
The fourth digit is the adhesive system ,a 0, in this case, a clear permanent.
